FREE!!   MIT announces its MITES Program, (Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science), a challenging 6 week summer program that prepares promising rising seniors for careers in engineering and science. If you are selected, all educational, housing, meals and activity costs are covered. You must, however, pay for your own transportation to and from MIT. If you know a veteran of Desert Storm and Desert Shield, we encourage you to share this important information with them…

On April 24, 2006, Governor Edward Rendell Signed House Bill 1820 into law as Act 29 of 2006. This bill establishes the Persian Gulf Conflict Veterans’ Benefit Act. The program allows compensation to be paid to eligible service members as well as certain surviving relatives of deceased veterans.
